This is baby Jeremiah’s first birthday/ cake smash session. I offer six month (sitter) and one year (cake smash) milestone sessions catered to my clients in Austin, Killeen, Waco, Temple, Belton, and more.
For my one year old baby sessions I do various set ups for a large gallery. I do shots on the barn wood, shots on seamless, and then the cake smash. This is not just a cake smash, one year portraits, or family, it is ALL THREE!
We start with the portraits so that you have something for wall art, family shots for the living room, and the cake smash for birthday invitations or just for celebration! Maybe you want to get a little bit of everything and put it into an album or folio box to pass down to your little one. You’re already envisioning your session now, huh?
For your one year milestone session we do several outfit changes to achieve a large gallery. For Jeremiah’s session we did four outfit changes, and their gallery had 48 amazingly unique images for his mama to choose from, despite him being irritable that day!
Another optional add on of a one year baby photo shoot with me are family and sibling poses. These are unposed for the most part, you just interact with your baby and I capture the realness of your bond. For Jeremiah’s session we did do both parent and family shots! Don’t worry on what to wear, I go over all of that in the prep guide before your shoot!
The Process:
First step: contact me to set up a phone consult. This is where we discuss if I think we are a good fit!
Second step in my one year portrait sessions is your planning session. I will send you a questionnaire as well as chat back and fourth on what you envision for your baby’s one year portraits.
Third step: is the shoot, which takes about an hour depending on whether or not you want family, sibling, and cake smash included.
Fourth Step: step is your ordering appointment. One to two weeks after your session you’ll come back for a reveal of your photos. I will show you a slideshow of your images and also show you what products I offer, as well as guide you through your selections.
Fifth Step: I will hand deliver your portraits 1-2 weeks after your session!

Do we need to bring anything to our one year portraits?
No. Everything needed for your baby’s one year photo shoot is provided by me. Yes, even the outfits, cake, and balloons!
