Austin, Texas Newborn Baby Photoshoot
This blog is going to tell you all about a Newborn Baby Photoshoot with leading luxury Austin, Texas Newborn Baby Photographer, Haili Barton! How do you know what to wear, when to book, or how the whole session even goes down? Do I go to you or do you travel to me? Do you provide props for my baby? All are SUPER common questions asked my by clients when inquiring. Don’t fret. I take great care in nurturing my clients throughout the entire Studio Newborn Session experience! From beginning to end, I take care of everything for you and guide you step by step for a seamless, stress-free experience.
For starters, I’m going to tell you a little about myself and my business! My name is Haili Barton and I run a full service Newborn Baby Portrait Studio located (for now) in Temple, Texas. I service Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, and surrounding areas with timeless, organic newborn photos and heirloom print products. My goal is to not only produce beautiful portraits but also to get your images printed and displayed throughout your home. I offer a variety of ways to display your images, regardless of your home decor or your specific desires. I offer wall art for modern style homes, my vivid metals. I also offer rustic wall art, my wood prints. I offer heirlooms that go with either decor, the folio box or album, which means you can tuck it away for later viewing without cluttering your walls (if that’s your aim).
Now, for the good stuff. What you came here for – how to prepare yourself for a Newborn Baby Photoshoot. For starters, when do you inquire? That really depends on how badly you want a spot on my calendar. I book up very fast, as I only take 2-4 clients per month. For my clients, it’s best to book your shoot during your second trimester, though, I occasionally have last minute bookings available. Some of my clients book at four weeks gestation and some wait until their baby is born. Ultimately you will be gambling as to whether or not I will have availability for your due-month if you wait longer than anticipated.
Once you have decided to book you will receive your contract for your newborn shoot and your invoice for your newborn session fee of $250 to your email. Sign, pay, done. Once you pay your session fee, your Studio Newborn Baby Photoshoot preparation begins! You will fill out the “Studio Newborn Questionnaire” to let me know any color schemes or any ideas from my portfolio that you wish to see for your own newborn photos. Then, you’ll receive the “What to Wear Guide”, which will answer any and all questions regarding your session styling!
After you have inquired, paid your session fee, signed your contract, filled out your Studio Newborn Session Questionnaire, and reviewed the What to Wear Guide for session styling, you’re ready to wait until baby’s arrival! Once baby arrives, you’ll shoot me a text letting me know that he/she is here and we will set a date for 10-14 days after your shoot. I will send you the Studio Newborn Prep Guide, which tells you what to bring to your shoot and how to prep the baby. My newborn baby photoshoots ALWAYS take place on Saturday or Sunday at 9:30am.
During your Newborn Portrait Session I will take care of everything for you. I have all of the props for your Newborn Photos here at the studio. All you need to bring is your baby, milkies for your baby, and a few other small necessities! Once your newborn photos are completed, usually 2.5-4 hours later, you’ll go home while I cull through the images I took and choose the best of the best from your gallery to show you at your viewing and ordering appointment.
One week later we will have your viewing and ordering appointment, which is where you’ll choose which images you love the most and how you want to display them! My typical newborn gallery consists of 60-120 images to choose from. My most commonly bought products are my album and my folio box! 2-3 weeks later I will hand deliver your purchased products to your home.
